App To Report Guide Dog Refusals

Show Notes

Guide Dog owners around the UK have faced refusals from public spaces such as restaurants and taxis for years, but the charity Guide Dogs wants to do something about it.

They’ve launched a new app to help blind people, turned away from places because of their guide dog, report the incident to the charity.

Blind Guy Steven Scott and that other blind guy Shaun Preece talk to guide dog owner and fellow blind guy Robin Christopherson about his own experiences, and he also shares a demo of how the apps works.

Plus Robin asks Guide Dogs directly the ultimate question – should guide dog owners have a mobility cane with them when they travel?
