The annual Microsoft Ability Summit was held on May 10th this year and provided an insight into the accessibility strategy and innovation going on at the tech giant.
On show this time around we learned about Microsoft’s new Inclusive Tech Lab, where the company promises innovation and ideas can thrive with disabled people at the heart of it’s design process for new and improving features across the company’s product and services line.
to prove this in action, Microsoft announced a new Adaptive accessories lineup including a new adaptive mouse and keyboard alternative using switch control devices that can be totally customised to your needs.
Ability Summit also highlighted the new features coming into Windows over the next few months including new natural voices for Narrator, Voice Access to more easily control your computer by just your voice and enhancements to Microsoft Edge.
